Oceanfront End Unit · Cherry Grove Beach, SC
This is an end unit — which matters more than it sounds. Most condos in a beachfront complex share walls on both sides and face one direction. An end unit sits at the corner of the building: more windows, more natural light, and side views down the beach that the standard units don't get. This one is on the first floor of the Sea Cabin complex at 6000 North Ocean Boulevard, the northernmost stretch of Cherry Grove Beach.
The bedroom has a queen bed. There are bunk beds in the hallway — two extra spots that bring the capacity to four guests. The kitchen and bathroom have been recently updated. The patio faces the ocean, and beach access is direct from the complex — no street to cross, no boardwalk to navigate.
The location at the northern end of Cherry Grove Beach is a genuine advantage for anyone visiting The Point. Most visitors arrive from the south end of the island by golf cart or ATV. Guests staying at Sea Cabin can walk straight up the beach — about 10 minutes at a comfortable pace. Arrive 90 minutes before low tide and you'll find the sandbar at its widest.
Walk north along the beach from Sea Cabin. You'll pass the end of the developed shoreline and reach the tip of the island in about 15 minutes — where the Atlantic meets the Cherry Grove Inlet and, at low tide, a wide sandbar emerges from the water.
The timing matters. Arrive at high tide and you'll find the sandbar completely submerged. Arrive 90 minutes before low tide and watch the water pull back across a wide expanse of hard-packed sand. Read the tide timing guide before you go — it makes the difference between a good visit and an exceptional one.
If this is your first time at The Point, the first-timer's guide covers everything: what to expect, what to bring, and what most visitors miss.
Couples looking for an oceanfront room without a hotel feel. Small families with kids who can share the bunk beds. Anyone who wants the ocean directly outside the door and doesn't need a second bedroom. The end-unit position makes it feel less like a condo and more like the beach itself is part of the room.
If you need two bedrooms or more space for six guests, look at Sea Cabin 225 — same complex, same walk to The Point, more room.
